John and Frankie Dell have returned home following a lengthy trip throughout the South. They toured Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island. The Missouri Silver Hair Legislature Body will conduct the annual election at the Malden Nutrition Center in May. Area wide buses continue to come to Malden carrying visitors tothe Malden Bootheel Youth Museum. The Malden Stokelan Drive Christian Church held a Ladies Mission Meeting at the church. They worshiped together on "Living Water". Karen Haby presented a skit narrated by Karen Wills. Leah Nimmo, Joy Miller and Lois Paul all presented scripture. Refreshments were served afterwards...

I received a letter from Ruth Hill of Springfield, Mo. with an enclosed lengthy newspaper clipping on Kennett's Sheryl Crow. She appeared as the star in the production of the O'Reilly Family Center Event in Springfield. The proceeds from this concert went entirely to benefit Springfield Realtor and his family Drew Lewis. Sheryl was a huge hit...

The Malden Ministerial Alliance Community Easter Service was well attended at the Malden First Christian Church. An Easter egg hunt for the youth was held following Easter services held at the Malden First United Methodist Church on Sunday morning. Easter goody baskets were delivered to the folks at the Malden nursing homes on Wednesday evening before Easter by the folks at the Malden First Christian Church...

William "Bill" Brow has returned home to Davis, California following an extended visit with his daughter Marta Hampton, her husband Greg and their three sons. Ruth Dockins, a member of the Southeast Missouri Area on Aging Council in Cape Girardeau, appeared on an interview on KFVS television from Cape Girardeau last week. A large crowd attended a pre wedding shower honoring Miss Megan Rinehart of Malden on last Sunday afternoon from two to four o'clock. The Malden Nutrition Center beside the Malden Police Station building is inviting folks to visit and eat daily delicious luncheons in the fine new attractive buildings. Seniors 60 and older have a $3 charge, folks under slightly more. The annual RSVP Christmas social was held at the Malden Community Center. Jeannie Collins, Director of RSVP, hosted the affair. A delicious holiday buffet was served and gifts were distributed.
