Modern Day Water CoolerPosted Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at 2:00 PM
Back in ye olden days (like just a few years ago) when most every office had a water cooler (several have water coolers now but we don't so I'm acting like they're rare...let me be), staff members would find themselves congregating around said cooler to chit-chat about current goings-on in life, television, and other issues.(that was a cleverly written sentence...haha)
It recently occured to me (through a conversation at our "water cooler")that we at the Daily Dunklin Democrat have a "new age" water cooler; a true "sign of the times," if you will. (I'm beginning to sound like an old man in this blog)
Our "water cooler" comes in the form of a laser printer. (See below...but keep reading after the pic.)
What is the "water cooler" at your job? (this is where you, the reader, come in....this is a participation blog...kind of a fill in the blank.....here's your blank ___ ...now fill it.)

Cool use of italics, by the way...
Since I work by myself, I have no water cooler conversations now, but when I taught, we congregated in the teachers' lounge around the copy machine, the microwave, and the mailbox. Without that lounge, I'd have gone off the deep end long before I did!
