Meet George...

I like long walks on the beach, cuddling up in front of the fire….wait…this isn't a personal ad…..

As you know, my name is George Anderson, I'm 26-years-old, and I am a reporter for the Daily Dunklin Democrat. I took this position in July '08, and I really have to say….I like it!

So anyway, I'm married (which you would know if you've read any of my previous blogs) and have one child, a son named Jacob (again, if you've read my blogs…). He's 17-months-old as of this writing. I really enjoy being a dad…..sometimes (and sometimes I think, "WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?")

In my free time, I like to draw and mess around with electronics. I draw…A LOT! I'm currently working on a coloring book for a friend at the Family Counseling Center. I'm constantly thinking of new ideas and projects (just ask my boss..I've got a project idea that I'm going to start working on that's going to be HUGE! More details on that later).

I recently celebrated my birthday (September 15). Seeing as how I'm a Virgo, below are some traditional Virgo traits. I'll tell you which ones do and do not fit me.

* Modest and shy
-- Only if I don't know you;

* Meticulous and reliable --
I believe so;

* Practical and diligent -- Pretty much;

* Intelligent and analytical -- Without a doubt.

According to the Web site that I pulled the above traits off of, there are apparently some bad traits too.

On the dark side (Dark Side?..Sweet…I get to shoot lightning outta my fingertips and choke people over the phone. Not to mention the I get to wear a cape....that was a Star Wars joke)



* Fussy and a worrier
-- Not at all. Life's too short to worry. Have you seen the movie Office Space? I'm like a true to life Peter Gibbons (BTW, if you have not seen that movie…what's wrong with you? Go out and rent it NOW! Better yet, go buy it. You owe it to the creator to purchase that movie since you've lived so long without seeing it.)

* Overcritical and harsh
-- Not really, only on myself.

* Perfectionist and conservative -- Perfectionist? a little; Conservative? Yes.

Guess I'm more of a Jedi than a Sith ( I was really looking forward to the cape.)

So anyway, that's a little bit about me. Did you learn anything? I hope so because there's going to be a pop quiz tomorrow (Remember how teachers would say that. I always thought, "It's not a POP quiz if you just told me about it. Silly teachers.).

BTW…The animated blogs are coming, they just take a little more time to do. Cut me a break, I'm a one man animation crew who is doing it (very) part-time between raising my son, working at the DDD, and trying to have a little time left for a life.

I do hope to have one up sooner as opposed to later tho.
